Save Parameter Names

Regent Award will automatically add a prefix for the Parameter Set Name, depending on the Process Type selected.  The use of this prefix is optional:

  • Prefixes:
    • Batch Packaging = BP_
    • Communications = COMMUNICATIONS_
    • Export COD = Exp_COD_
    • Export ISIR Corrections = ISIR_Corr_
    • Export ISIR Identity Verification = Iden_Ver_
    • Export NSLDS Files = Exp_NSLDS_
    • Export Student Transactions = EST_
    • SAP Process = SAP_
    • SAIG Receive Files = SAIG_Rec

The names used to Save Parameter Sets are limited to 50 characters and must be unique, therefore, if the user chooses a Parameter Set Name that is already in use, the user will be prompted to change the Parameter Set name: "That Name is already in use, please enter a different Parameter Name."

Using Previously Saved Parameter Sets

(warning)Add screenshots when RS-13927 is complete.

The "Saved Parameter Sets" screen allows the user to view and use the previously saved Parameter Sets.  The screen provides a grid of the saved Parameter Sets with several columns that allow the user to take action on those Parameter Sets.

Double-clicking on a row from the table opens that saved Parameter Set in its related Process screen.  From there, the user can modify then re-save the Parameter Set, modify the parameters and save as a new Parameter Set, or run the process using that existing saved Parameter Set

.

  • The Active column contains an editable checkbox where a Parameter Set can be made active or inactive.  . Inactive parameter sets cannot be executed via the screen or a scheduled process.
  • The Parameter Set Name column displays the saved name of the Parameter Set.
  • The Process Type column displays the process associated with the saved Parameter Set.
  • The View/Edit column allows you to open the Saved Parameter set on the associated process screen.  From there, the user can modify then re-save the Parameter Set, modify the parameters and save as a new Parameter Set, or run the process using that existing saved Parameter Set.
  • The Execute Process Using Saved Set column contains a button that can be used to execute the listed process type using the saved Parameter Set.
  • The Delete column contains a button that can be used to Delete a saved Parameter Set.

If the user selects "Save as new Parameter Set," Regent Award will present the user with the "Save Parameters" pop-up.  Once the user enters a new Parameter Name on the pop-up box and selects "Save," Regent Award will return the user to the process screen so that the user can proceed with executing the process.
