Ready to Package (RTP) Process
Overview
The export Ready to Package process in Regent Award produces a list of students that can be imported into legacy financial aid systems, to be packaged outside of Regent Award.
Criteria for Student to be set to Ready to Package on RTP file:
- All documents are in a 'Satisfied' or 'Waived' status, where the document is configured with one of the following:
- Restrict Packaging
- Restrict Positive Disbursements Document
- Restrict Positive and Negative Disbursements
- All of the following ISIR-related tasks are in a status of 'Completed', 'Closed', or 'Waived,' if the task is configured to restrict packaging or disbursement.
- Review New Inactive ISIR
- Review Subsequent Unclean ISIR
- Review CPS Generated/Pushed ISIR
- An Active ISIR for the FAY has a Verification Status = 'Verified' (inherited or not) or 'Selected, but not verified' and the ISIR is not required to be transmitted or received,
- OR if the 'Include S and W Verification Statuses' configuration option is set to 'Yes, an Active ISIR for the FAY has a Verification Status = 'Selected, Payment Without Verification' or 'Selected, Not Verified' and the ISIR is not required to be transmitted or received
- OR if the student’s active ISIR contains a value of “4” in the Special Circumstances field (even if the ISIR is rejected)
- If Verification Group = V4 or V5, the Identity Verification value has been provided for the corresponding FAY.

RTP Process Configuration Options
Explanation of configurable options:
- Option 1: Re-export students when an ISIR transaction number is updated
- If the configuration option "Re-export student when the ISIR transaction number is updated" on Institution Setup is set to "Yes":
- The student has clean ISIR (transaction #2, for example)
- The student is included on the RTP file with “ReadytoPackage” status
- The student’s active ISIR transaction is changed manually or by the import of a new ISIR (to a transaction #3, for example)
- The student is included on a subsequent RTP file in “ReadytoPackage” status when a change to the Active ISIR is made
- Option 2: Re-export student when verification status is updated.
- If the configuration option "Re-export student when verification status is updated" on Institution Setup is set to "Yes":
- The student has clean ISIR (transaction #1, for example, not selected for Verification, not Verified)
- The student is included on the RTP file with “ReadytoPackage” status
- Student submits IRS Tax Return Transcript
- Per the school business process, Verification is completed
- Verification status changes from Not Verified to Verified
- A student is included on a subsequent RTP file in “ReadytoPackage” status when the Verification Status changes on an Active ISIR
- The school has a need to identify when a student’s Active ISIR has a changed Verification Status
- Option 3: Re-export when student's Original Name ID is updated:
- If the configuration option "Re-export when student's Original Name ID is updated" on Institution Setup is set to "Yes":
- The student has clean ISIR (transaction #1, for example, ISIR ID = 01 MA)
- The student is included on the RTP file with “ReadytoPackage” status
- A new Active ISIR is received
- The student has married and has a new last name (transaction #1, for example, ISIR ID = 01 UM)
Option 4: Re-export when student's EFC is updated:
- If the configuration option "Re-export when student's EFC is updated on Institution Setup is set to "Yes" and the student receives a new, clean ISIR that is made active, the student, with updated EFC, is included on a subsequent RTP file in “Ready to Package”
Option 5: Include “S” and “W” Verification Statuses
- When this option is set to a value of "Yes," the Ready to Package file will include students whose current active ISIR has a verification status of:
- Either “Selected, Payment Without Verification“ or “Selected, Not Verified,” if the student otherwise meets all requirements for the existing ready to package process and the Identity Verification value has been provided for the corresponding FAY
- Students meeting these criteria will be exported on the Ready to Package file in a “Ready to Package” status
- If the Identity Verification value for the corresponding FAY is removed, the student will be re-exported on the Ready to Package file in a “Pending” status
Students in 'Pending' Status on RTP
A status of "Pending" would only be set if the student has already been exported previously with a status of "ReadyToPackage" for the FAY:
- New ISIR for the FAY is received and the student is selected for verification and is unverified
- The new Task added to the student that is scoped for Student or the FAY has a status of Open, In-Process, Reviewed, Re-Opened, or On-Hold
- Received an ISIR with the updated EFC (if configured)
- If the Identity Verification value for the corresponding FAY is removed, the student will be re-exported on the Ready to Package file in a “Pending” status
- If a subsequent ISIR for the same FAY is imported and is made active, and the ISIR has Rejects and the special circumstances flag value does NOT equal 4, then the student should be re-exported on the RTP file in a “Pending” status
- Note: Inactive students are not exported on the RTP file
