Product Release Description

The 6.1 release addresses product defects as listed in the “Bugs” section of the Release Notes, and also enhancements and new features including:

Standard Communications:
- Configurable Privacy Policy Link added to Standard Communications
- Standard SAP Warning and SAP Suspended Communications Templates
Regent Fund:
- Added ‘is empty’ and ‘is not empty’ to Regent Query Language (RQL)
Loan Aggregate Calculations:
- Automated adjustments for Dependent Additional Unsubsidized Loans, Graduate Loans, and Health Professions Loans
Program Management Wizard:
- Add an Academic Year Manually without Creating All Prior Years

Any client currently using Regent Award may take Regent 6.1 for UAT and ultimately production upgrade.

Any client currently using Regent Review may take Regent 6.1 for UAT and ultimately production upgrade.

Any client currently using Regent Access may take Regent 6.1 for UAT and ultimately production upgrade.

Any client currently using Regent Award may take the Regent 6.1 version of Student Experience for UAT and ultimately production upgrade.

Any client currently using Regent Review may take the Regent 6.1 version of Student Experience for UAT and ultimately production upgrade.

Some Regent Access clients may take the Regent 6.1 version of Student Experience for UAT and ultimately production upgrade. Please work with your Account Manager for additional information. Note: All current customer-specific functionality in the legacy portal may not be available in the new Student Experience portal at this time.

Clients using Regent Award for Salesforce will not need to upgrade RAFSF to maintain current functionality.

Standard Communications

Privacy Policy Link: An optional Privacy Policy link configuration for Standard Communication Templates was added to the Content Used in Communications setup. Users will enter the Privacy Policy display name (how the Privacy Policy hyperlink will display to the student) and the Privacy Policy URL. If configured, the Privacy Policy link will display as a footer at the end of the communication template. Clients should ensure that fonts, colors, and spacing are configured to display as expected.

SAP Warning and SAP Suspended: New standard communication templates for students determined to have statuses of SAP Warning and SAP Suspended are now available. The filters related to these templates were added in the previous 6.0 release.

Regent Fund

Regent Query Language (RQL): RQL was updated to add support for the ‘Is Empty’ and ‘Is Not Empty’ operators in order to align with the operators supported within the Query Builder. These operators allow users to easily include or exclude NULL values.

Loan Aggregates

Adjustments to Loan Aggregate Amounts: Regent Award has improved Award calculations for Subsidized and Unsubsidized Direct Loans to automatically adjust the student’s aggregate balance for the following use cases:

1) An Undergraduate student’s aggregate balance will be reduced by the amounts of any previous graduate-level loans (including Additional Unsubsidized HPPA loan amounts for certain health profession programs).

2) A Dependent Undergraduate student’s aggregate balance will be reduced by the amounts of any Additional Unsubsidized loans awarded due the Parent’s inability to borrow a Parent PLUS loan.

3) A Graduate student’s aggregate balance will be reduced by the amounts of any Additional Unsubsidized loan amounts awarded for HPPA programs.

The student History tab in Regent Award has been enhanced to include an Loan Aggregates subtab that display’s all of a student’s Subsidized and Unsubsidized Stafford/Direct student loans based on ISIR and NSLDS FAH file data. There is a ‘flag’ column to identify any additional Unsubsidized amounts attributable to either a PLUS Loan Denial (P) or a Health Professions Loan (H), or both (B). The Loan Override Aggregate Amount column provides users an opportunity to change the amount of an individual loan’s amount to be considered in loan aggregate calculation adjustments, and an Activity Log Entry will record the override.

Program Management Wizard

Adding an Academic Year Manually: New functionality supports the ability for a user to add an Academic Year in the middle of an Academic Plan without requiring the user to add or update all previous Academic Years on the student’s Plan. These updates allow for overlapping periods that may be required for Non Substantially Equal Program Changes.

Known Issues for Regent 6.1

RS-17711	When an MPN document requirement is Satisfied automatically via import of a COD PN file, the Document Audit Log does not record the specifics of the change.	Refer to the student's Activity Log for the needed information.
RS-17860	The Advanced Packaging feature of MAP displays the incorrect number of Anticipated Units for some Summer Terms that are set up to be anticipated with 'Anticipate 0 Units for Term' is Yes AND when Spring Pell is overridden from the prior/current FAY to the next FAY.	When using Advanced Packaging and this issue occurs, zero out the units for Summer terms on the screen as desired.
RS-18575	In certain cases, the 'Cancel Funds if Document is in Unsatisfied Status' is not working as expected.	Manually cancel the award.
RS-19477	On occasion, the BP Process completes successfully, but the Process Log is not closed ("hangs" at 99%) to it appears to the user that the process did not complete.	Contact Regent for manual steps to close the process on the Process Log.
RS-19496	ISIR - Unmatched' Report Includes SSN in CSV and XML file exports when "include SSN" is false.	SSNs do not display in initial results on screen. Delete SSNs as soon as export file is created, or export in .pdf, Word, or Excel.
RS-19608	Fund Config Report is returning incorrect information in the output	Utilize the Fund Config View data view.
RS-19772	In certain cases, Regent is refunding $1 Pell upon import of an NSLDS FA History file with LEU within a dollar of 600. (Also RS-21029)	Use Modify Award Wizard (MAW) to set the correct amount of Pell and make the award 'manual'.
RS-20126	Only one bulk action can be applied at a time to tasks.	If wishing to make multiple updates at the same time, do not use the bulk action function.
RS-20659	In limited cases, when using the 'Alternate Census Date' and a student is initially packaged after all configured census dates, the initial Pell enrollment status may be incorrect.	The amount corrects the next time the student is packaged.
RS-22350	The canned Student Activity report in Regent Award does not display data.	Utilize information from related data views.
RS-22609	In certain cases, when a Leave of Absence is added for the second half of an eligible semester, Pell grant is cancelling.	Manually adjust the Pell grant amount using MAW.
RS-22944	In some cases when a Nonterm student returns more than 180 days after withdrawal, the expected new academic year is not being created.	None.
RS-23443	When a student in a nonterm short program registers for more credits than are defined by the program length, Regent awards Pell for all registered credits.	Manually adjust the Pell award amount using MAW.
RS-23482	In certain cases, the Year-Round-Pell portion of an award is being cancelled during the R2T4 process.	Manually reinstate the eligible Pell amount via MAW.
RS-23724	For schools configured to do Pell in even dollar amounts, certain Pell PWDs (calculated with cents) and not rounding properly when they are processed for payment. (Also RS-23806)	Manually update the disbursement on COD.
RS-23741	Packaging Grid does not award if the Site Associations section is set to specific sites	None.
RS-23853	When student enrollment in a final academic year is extended to include an additional term with enrollment, the original loans may remain while duplicate loans are created for the resulting new loan period.	Manually cancel the original loans.
RS-24067	A user with View Notification Permissions enabled cannot see Communications on a student's Communications tab	Enable the Generate Communication permission for the user.
