Description:
Regent has updated rounding logic for Pell amounts per term or payment period. For the first term or payment period in a 2024-2025 Pell Grant award, Regent rounds the amount using standard rounding. Subsequent terms and payment periods that have the same Enrollment Intensity Percentage (EIP) as the previous term/PP will alternate rounding up or down, using the opposite direction of the previous PP rounding. Whenever a term has a different EIP value than the previous term, Regent applies standard rounding to that term’s amount, then applies the alternating up/down rounding pattern for the following terms having the same EIP value.

Regent Fund

Awarding

Problem:
Some Regent Fund processes failed to award all eligible students. When some individual students were packaged, the system gave an Object Reference error.

Cause:
The system did not properly handle a comparison for some Federal Award Year (FAY) values when the FAY value was empty/null. Additionally, some students were also affected by the separate bug in RS-27904;.

Fix:
Regent updated the code to prevent the error. The corrected logic detects when a FAY look-up contains an empty value.

Testing:
Run Regent Fund to award eligible students. Confirm the process is successfully completed. Confirm the students have the awards created. Package an affected student, such as by using the Modify Academic Plan (MAP) wizard. Confirm the Object Reference error does not occur.

Regent Award

Awarding

Problem:
When users tried to package some students using the Modify Academic Plan (MAP) wizard, the system gave an unexpected error: An error occurred while writing to the configured cache manager. Other errors prevented students from accepting awards on the Student Portal.

Cause:
A Smart Form Document data field was processed using an incorrect object type.

Fix:
The code was corrected to use the correct object type, String, for the affected data field.

Testing:
Try to package an affected student using the MAP wizard. Confirm the student is packaged successfully without the error.

RS-27825

Regent Award

Awarding

Problem:
Regent Award unexpectedly calculates Pell incorrectly.

Cause:
Regent Award has a flaw in DateRange.InstructionWeeks.

Fix:
Regent Award is updated to remove the block that was adding days in an attempt to account for scenario where the beginning and end of the period start/end in the middle of the instruction week.

Testing:
In Regent Award, package a student who has 30 units, 30 weeks per AY.
