SAIG Receive Files Screen

Overview

The Receive Files Screen allows schools to manually retrieve available files from the SAIG mailbox. The screen is accessible by permission.  The SAIG Receive Files process is available to be scheduled by the school via the UI (see Process Scheduling). Important: Prior to creating scheduled processes via the UI, schools must request any current DEX scheduled process be turned off (via a CZ ticket request) or the process will be run twice.

The screen allows the end user to filter the files to be received using the filtering options provided.  The user has five receipt options:

  • Receive all files that are currently available in the active SAIG mailbox, including those that Regent Award does not support.

  • Receive only those files associated with supported and configured process types

  • Receive files from selected Regent Award process types

  • Receive files for specific Message Classes

  • Receive specific files by name (the Saved Parameters feature is not available for this selection option)

See the table below for more details on each receipt option.

  • If "All files" is chosen, Regent Award will receive all files that are currently available in the active SAIG mailbox.  Unsupported files are sent to the sFTP folder: SAIG_Unprocessed. An error message will populate when there are no related message classes selected during the attempted run. The error message will state "The scheduled SAIG Receive File process for All Files will not run as there are no related message classes selected."

  • If "All files supported and configured" is chosen, only those files supported by Regent Award processes, and configured as "enabled" from the SAIG Credentials screen in Regent Award, are retrieved from the SAIG mailbox.  The unsupported files are left on SAIG. An error message will populate when there are no related message classes selected during the attempted run. The error message will state "The scheduled SAIG Receive File process for All Files Supported And Configured will not run as there are no related message classes selected."

  • If "Files for specific processes" is chosen, a table will appear allowing the user to select files, by supported process type, to receive from SAIG.

    • Display only those processes which have been configured as "enabled" from the SAIG Credentials screen in Regent Award

    • Selecting the process type will select ALL supported message classes associated with that process type.

    • An error message will populate when there are no related message classes selected during the attempted run. The error message will state "The scheduled SAIG Receive File process for Files For Specific Process will not run as there are no related message classes selected."
