Overview

The Message Class Setup screen allows clients to activate/inactivate the Message Classes to be used in the SAIG mailbox integration with Regent Award.  A school may choose to "de-activate" message classes that are old or not applicable to how they use Regent Award.  The active Message Classes will be transmitted to and received from SAIG using Regent Award.  The selection of active Message Classes on this screen also drives the display/availability of those Message classes on the other SAIG integration screens.  This screen is also used to determine how each Message Class will be processed (manually vs. automatically) by Regent Award.

Message Classes associated to process types that are "disabled" on the SAIG Credentials screen will not display on the Message Class Setup screen.

Active Inactive Message Classes will not be available in the selection parameters on the SAIG Receive Files. CheckboxThe default value is unchecked.
Transmit / Import Manually

Used to indicate which Message Classes will be imported/processed manually in Regent Award after receipt (download) from SAIG and which message classes will be transmitted to SAIG manually after the export file is created by Regent Award.

If the “Transmit / Import Manually” checkbox is not selected, Regent Award will automatically import received Message Class files once the files have been downloaded from the SAIG Mailbox, and Regent Award will also automatically transmit export Message Class types to the SAIG Mailbox immediately upon the creation of the export file in Regent Award.

For customers who previously set up the "Require Manual Export File Review Prior to Submission to SAIG" checkbox (which was available in Release 4.4.0.0, but was removed in Release 4.5.0.0) as "selected," that choice will be migrated to apply to all export file types by default.

Once the screen is saved, the "View" mode of the screen should display a list of the message classes that have been set to "Active" for that mailbox.
