1 Purpose

5.1 Scheduled Processes

Actors

  • User with appropriate permissions

  • Regent Award

Pre-condition (The planning process when adding a new or updating existing Scheduled Processes and documenting other configuration areas that need to be updated)

  • School would like to create a scheduled process

  • Add new or update existing schedule in the Runbook

Basic Flow

  1. The user navigates to the Processes tab:

    1. Select a process that allows a “Saved Parameter Set”

    2. Chooses selected parameters.

    3. Selects “Save Selected Parameters.”

    4. Enters a name for the parameter set and clicks Save.

    5. Navigates to the “Saved Parameter Sets” process.

    6. Ensures the “Saved Parameter Set” is active.

  2. The user navigates to the “Scheduled Processes” process:

    1. Clicks “Add New Schedule.”

    2. Selects “Active.”

    3. Enters a name.

    4. Selects “Process Type”.

    5. Selects “Parameter Set.”

    6. Enters a description.

    7. Selects “Frequency”; for example, if daily is selected, the user:

      1. Chooses the number of days the process will occur.

      2. Enters a start time.

      3. Selects a time zone.

      4. Enters a start date and end date (optional.)

    8. Clicks Save.

Post-condition

  • Scheduled process runs successfully according to configuration.
