Student Submission Of Documents From The Portal

Overview

The Document Requirements Portlet allows the student to view the Document Requirements that need to be satisfied in order to complete the processing of their financial aid awards. Additionally, this portlet allows the student/parent to download the corresponding form and to upload information to satisfy the requirement. Finally, the portlet allows the student/parent to download a copy of a submitted document.

Note: In order for a student to edit a document within the mobile view, an application that supports PDFs with editable fields must be installed on the student's device.

  • The following file types are allowed: .pdf, .doc, .docx, .xls, .xlsx, .txt, .html, .pff, .tif, .jpg, .rtf, .wps.  Students/Parents will be prompted with a system message if they attempt to upload a non-supported file type.

Uploading Attachments

  2. When the Student/Parent selects "Upload," the file will be added to the list of files shown on the screen, to be uploaded.
  3. If the Student/Parent selects the "Delete" icon next to a file name, it is removed from the list. (Note: Once a student/parent submits a document, they will not be able to re-edit the document and remove any attachments, only the submission of new attachments is allowed once the document is submitted)
  4. If the portal configuration is set to not allow additional attachments to documents in a "Received" status, the messaging displayed at the bottom of the upload screen should be: Please confirm that your document selections are accurate and complete.  Changes to the document attachments may not be made after selecting "Submit."
